Book Blast: Stolen by the Laird by Eliza Knight

About the Book:

She was supposed to be his prize... But not all rewards are sweet...

Laird Brody Keith, Marischal of Scotland, has been asked by his future king to travel with William Wallace to Dunnottar Castle, where they will seize the castle back from the English. If he completes his mission, the castle, the land and all it holds, will be his. Brody is more than eager to sink his blade into the hearts of his enemies after the brutal murder of his sister and father. But what he doesn't count on is finding an English lass in need of his protection...

Lady Guinevere has led a less than pleasant life in Scotland over the past year, and now she can either run for her life, or accept the proposal of a man who should be her enemy. Survival bids her to acquiesce, but that doesn't mean she has to play nice. Except, she's coming to adore the people whom she's always been told she should hate, and respect the man who risked his life for her.

Joined for a mutual purpose, Brody and Guinevere seem doomed from the start, but as time passes, and their true enemies draw closer, they'll form an alliance that not even the devil himself can break.

Publisher: AuthorHouseUK
Genre: Mystery
Format: Ebook

This is a tale of the dark places of the soul, where unrequited passion and desire lead the unprotected into the deep roots of our psyche and myth and magic become one with our minds. A young woman stumbles upon an ancient manor house and becomes entangled with a handsome but cold man. Her obsession begins a journey that leads her into a murder mystery when she discovers the previous elderly owner of the house was found naked and dead in the woods under mysterious circumstances. She then starts a chilling descent into the dark places of the mind that eventually costs her her very soul. Her love unrequited, she is driven by lust to search deeper into the past to discover that only the ultimate conquest can satisfy her needs. Is she psychic or is the house truly controlling her behaviour? Or is she becoming mentally unstable, being increasingly solitary and separated from her previous mundane lifestyle? Dare you follow her fearful path into the unknown?

Meet the Author:
Lizzy Lloyd In postwar Surrey, families dreamed away the horrors of war in wooded hills and meadows and escaped into fantasy and creativity. Lizzy Lloyd grew up in this environment, where reality slipped into fantasy so easily and art and poetry and literature were the warp and weft of everyday living. The 1960s enthused youngsters into believing everything was possible, and the rise of the working-class hero in fashion, photography, interior design, and films led her to, first, art school then a career in haut couture. Ever restless, she diverted into photo editing and finally social care while moving around the country. In 1980 she settled in Tewkesbury, where the genius loci is very strong. In 1982, The Long Man was conceived and several other books inspired by that region. In the last twenty years, she has produced more stories of the interface between the psyche and the heart and the thin veneer between one period in history and another.

Book Blast: The Man Who Murdered Who Murdered a Quarter of the World's Population by Ira J-Ira - Win a $25 Gift Card

Inside the Book:

Title: The Man Who Murdered a Quarter of the World's Population
Author: Ira J-Ira
Publisher: AuthorHouse UK
Genre: Religion/Spirituality
Format: Ebook

I have written this book as a result of a discussion among a group of men on The Power of One, centered on the Sudanese lady Meriam Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death for her Christian beliefs and was made to give birth while chained up by her legs in prison. Her story was broadcast around the world. Many great men were mentioned as having great power and changed situations. When it was my turn to speak, I mentioned this man who'd murdered a quarter of the world's population. The place went very quiet. After about twenty seconds, I explained that they have probably met him by reading about him, or they have probably heard someone talk about him but did not realize that this man had murdered a quarter of the world's population. When they heard it, the place was in an uproar, and there was great laughter. I had to beg them to settle down in order for me to finish my talk.

Dogs and people are a natural combination. A love born in childhood can change a life forever. My Walks with Bentley captures life lessons author D. C. When they take up temporary residence on a peninsula, Bentley makes friends, though he turns out not to be much of a beach bum. And from the time they board a plane for their move to France, Bentley helps smooth the transition by making friends and enjoying the city of Paris-well, except for the sidewalks-before moving to their new home in the countryside.
